What is Persuasion?  Really?

Persuasion is the art of convincing others to give you want you want.  It is not always conscious, sometimes people give you what you want and you don’t know the reason they gave it to you.  Maybe you reminded them of someone from their past.  If this is the case you fired off an “Anchor” and this anchor invoked a feeling that connected with the other person.

It's all about connection.

Persuasion is about connection.  We need to connect with others in order to convince them to give us what we want.  Sure, every now and then people just randomly give something to a stranger but that happens so rarely that it just isn’t real.  In order for someone to give you anything they really need to connect with you and to understand you at a somewhat deep level.  This is what is called rapport in NLP and persuasion circles.

Persuasion is about communication, both conscious and unconscious.  Every little interaction with others is a persuasive encounter.  Think about it.  When you order from a waitress or waiter in a restaurant,  at some level you want that person to like you, maybe even to be attracted to you.  Because of this you are always running persuasive programs in your head…always, and this dictates how you will act and what you will say to another person.  You will find that it is better to understand and to know what you are doing since you are going to do it anyway.

This website is all about two things. One, I want to give you the tools to be a better persuader yourself, because this is important.  Secondly, and probably more importantly, I want you to have the skills and knowledge needed to figure out just how others are trying to persuade you.  This is important too because...

And none of us want to be manipulated.

Isn't that what all of us really want from life?  To have other people give us what we want and deserve from life.  Think about it, everything you need or want you can get from others.  There are simple ways to easily convince other people to do what you want them to 

Have you ever seen the movie Star Wars? I am going to bet that you have since it is one of the greatest blockbusters of all time. I loved that movie as a kid and in fact, I still love it. Well, one of my favorite scenes was when Obi Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker were going to town and trying to avoid detection. They pulled up to a roadblock and used a "Jedi Mind Trick" to talk their way through the checkpoint. "Let them pass, these are not the droids you are looking for." Do you remember that scene? I do!

That one little scene in a movie over 30 years ago highly influenced my life. I wanted to be able to influence and control people just like Obi Wan did. It would be like having a superpower or being granted three wishes by a Genie! I started to study the various ways and methods that were purported to give you that ability. I found that there is a lot of crap out there that simply doesn't work or do anything. But what I also found was that there are powerful ways to influence others to your way of thinking that really does work. In fact, many of these methods are being used by governments, corporations and individuals to control and influence all us on a daily basis. Yes, we are being indoctrinated and trained to act in the best interests of others. It's sort of like the movie "The Matrix", we are all being fed a version of reality that serves other people.

Now for the good news! You can use the same techniques that governments use in order to influence others to your way of thinking. What is it you want? More money?

Earning more money is something everyone wants to know do. The most important skill when it comes to money making is the ability to convince others to hire you, promote you or buy what you are trying to sell. This all comes down to persuasion.  When you can persuade better you make more money...period.

Learning and using the tools of persuasion will help you make more sales, outshine the competition at work and get you that promotion or position you've been coveting.

Do you want a better relationship? Who doesn't?  Relationships are all about communication and communication is the key to persuasion and influence. When you learn to persuade you automatically become a better communicator and when you become a better communicator you have the power to get the relationship of your dreams because you will be able to meet, date and seduce the person you want, not just whomever you can happen to end up with. Trust me, many people are in relationships they don't want and aren't happy with. They have one of two problems, they either don't know how to communicate what they want or they don't know how to end it. Either way the proper use of influence techniques can massively improve the quality and number of relationships you have, whether as a friend, lover or co-worker.

How about sex? Are you happy with your sex life or do you want to have more sex with one person, sex with more people (either one at a time or all at once...Hey, it's your life you're designing, design the life you want to live.)  Having the sex life of your dreams is all about communication.  How many times have you seen someone you want to meet and just let the moment pass?  I know I have had that happen a lot in my life. I just didn't know how to approach someone or what to say to them.  The easiest thing was to let the moment pass and that is exactly what I did.

I hated those situations and decided at a young age that I would learn to approach any person I wanted to approach.  I studied the techniques and then practiced and applied what I learned.  It worked for me and continues to work.  For information on how some steps you can take check out the seduction page on this site.
